Cerberus is a 26 gun light frigate, she is also the first frigate in the game.
Armament
She can mount either 9pd cannons or 32pd carronades. Her stern chasers are limited to 4pd cannons or 12pd carronades

Characteristics
The Cerberus has adequate armour and adequate maneuverability, do note though that the Cerberus is worse in every aspect than her direct competitor(in terms of class) the Renommee. having 26 guns she can be a very good competitor to the earlier ships, however a well captained brig or cutter can defeat a Cerberus due to their high maneuverability vs the Cerberus.
Here is the Sailing Profile for the Cerberus. Compared to many of the larger frigates, and ships of the line in particular, she is relatively forgiving and performs well between points 105 and 150. As with the other square rigged vessels, she performs best sailing at point 140.
History
The Cerberus is known for bringing reinforcements during the Battle of Bunker Hill. It was also one of the first ships to experience a torpedo attack.
